I work with a small number of clients at a time. The sections below outline the most common ways we work together.

brand & digital presence

Projects vary in scope and complexity. Simpler brochure sites sit at the lower end, while larger e-commerce or platform builds require more time and budget.

go from idea > brand > sharp online presence

Most projects start with a business idea that needs clarity, confidence and direction. I help solopreneurs and small businesses shape a considered brand and bring it to life online, creating a digital presence aligned with both the business and the audience it’s built for.

brand-led approach

Every project begins with understanding your business, your audience and what you want to be known for, resulting in a visual identity and digital presence that’s intentional, flexible and built to last.

a website that makes sense for your brand

Your website isn’t a separate add-on. It’s where your brand comes together in a practical, usable way. I design and build websites that support your goals, guide visitors clearly and give you a solid foundation to grow from.

Websites are hosted on secure UK-based dedicated infrastructure with monitoring, daily backups and essential technical updates in place to keep everything stable and secure. Proactive optimisation, manual plugin management and ongoing improvements are handled separately through ongoing support or ad-hoc work.

Support beyond the launch

starting smaller

Not every business needs full ongoing support straight away. In some cases, we start with a lighter level of involvement for the first few months, while the business gains traction and priorities become clearer.

Why ongoing support matters

A website without active management and a clear roadmap doesn’t stand still. It slowly falls behind.

Search behaviour changes, competitors adapt, content ages and opportunities are missed. Ongoing support ensures your site continues to do the job it was built for.

A long-term working relationship

Retainers allow me to stay closely involved with your business over time. That might include refining your brand, evolving your website, improving performance, supporting marketing activity or responding quickly as priorities change.

When ongoing support is the right fit

Retainers are typically discussed towards the end of an initial project, once there’s a clear sense of how we work together and whether ongoing support would be genuinely useful.

By that point, both sides usually know if the relationship feels like a good fit and if a longer-term arrangement makes sense.

Lauren has been instrumental in building and growing Chase Business School. She didn’t just design our brand and website, she helped shape how the business operates day to day.

From strategy and systems to marketing, automation and optimisation, Lauren is deeply involved in the ongoing success of the business. Having her on retainer means there’s always someone thinking ahead, refining what’s working and supporting growth as priorities evolve.

It’s very much a long-term partnership, and one I wouldn’t want to run the business without.

Targeted support & one-off small projects

just a little help

Sometimes you don’t need ongoing support, and looking for help with a specific task or problem.

Ad-hoc support is available for clearly scoped pieces of work where the requirement is short-term and outcomes are clearly defined.

Examples of typical ad-hoc work

Ad-hoc work typically covers things like small website updates, design refinements, technical fixes, short consultations or help resolving a specific issue.

a note on scope

Ad-hoc support works best when the task is contained and does not require ongoing strategy, iteration or involvement.

Where work becomes continuous or business-critical, ongoing support is usually a better fit.

Lauren built our website and continues to support us with regular updates as the business evolves. From price changes and staff updates to adding new treatments, she’s always quick to respond and ensures everything stays consistent and on brand.

It’s reassuring to know there’s someone who understands the site inside out and can step in whenever we need something adjusted.
